WWDC | hadda move quick
WWDC sold out at 10:30am or so. Guess I had a little time to register once the email arrived. But not much.
And I thought the New York Marathon is tough to get into!
MORE INFO | send to kindle
It looks like sending PDF's to kindle comes at a cost -- if you use WhisperNet, that is. Free over WiFi, but data charges apply for suing WhisperNet. However, you can cap usage (max per document), and select WiFi only for routing, so this shouldn't hit you unless you want it to.

MAC TOYS | send to kindle
I like the flexibility of Amazon's 'send to kindle' tool. I frequently use(d) iBooks to store everything from train schedules to prospectuses. I like Amazon's interface better, however, so this is a welcome tool.
The ability to (basically) Print to Kindle is awesome!

iOS Comments
I really love the Reminders App, allows me to sync (pretty smoothly) among devices. Having a Reminders App for Lion would certainly be superior to the current implementation with Reminder items showing up in a separate pane in iCal.
One shortcoming: lack of deep integration. For example, I use Reminders for a Call List - and there is no way to link out to the contact. I also tried inserting the phone number for the callee into the list item, but iOS doesn't make it a hyperlink.
Oh well.

Siri's Capabilities Reduced in iOS 5.1?
I haven't looked into it (maybe I should before popping off here? bah!) but it seems Siri can't do as much as she used to could*...
When she first came out, I could speak to her in entire paragraphs, dictate essentially a full email -- and she would dutifully plop it all onto the screen. Not any more. Now she seems to limit my input to a few seconds. I suppose the servers have an easier time of it with smaller chunks...
She also does not seem to like it when I cuss, coming back with 'no need for profanity Sam...' It's NYC, Siri, they're just adjectives!
* Yes I know 'used to could' is terrible English, just doing my part to keep it alive!
